I went to the courthouse and got the forms to fill out for my small claim against Jiffy Lube. Once I get the forms all filled out I will give them to the court and they will inform me of the court date.

I will have to send an email to jiffy Lube telling them I am suing them or just go in and make the statement out loud. Then hopefully I willget my $5734.84

Vehicle Died on the freeway in Petaluma while I was driving home from Russian River area. I called AAA towing immediately and after telling them where I was on the freeway, they arrived to load car for delivery to Mechanic.

Car was delivered to Mechanic. Here are the problems: Code for Temp Sensor traced to COOLANT in HONDA MIXED with WRONG COOLANT BY JIFFY LUBE which created a cement mixture in the cooling system. HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR/THERMOSTAT/RAD HOSES AND CAP- flush system. EXCESSIVE PRESSURE IN SYSTEM - BLOWN HEAD GASKET.

All of this cost me a total of $5734.84. I blame Jiffy Lube for all this and I would like to get my money back.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $573484.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Jiffy Lube Pros: Convenience of location.

Jiffy Lube Cons: Wrong coolant added to my honda causing cement mixture, Car broke down due to their incompetency.

They use a universal coolant. Couldn't have been wrong that's all they carry! You had something else going on before you went in and didn't inform them.

You've come across one reason to avoid all those "fast" lube and oil change places. Many car dealerships now operate their own fast places and/or at the service area of the dealership.

You have a much better chance of them doing things correctly than at some fast place with fly-by-night and inexperienced, unreliable employees.

And, the price at the dealer is about the same. As for getting Jiffy Lube to do anything, as Jackie says "good luck."

They will state that anything may have happened to the car after leaving their shop.

You'll be lucky to if they refund the service price.

Incidentals like you've described they will fight to the death.
