Jiffy Lube & Bell Automotive Wichita, KS
After an oil change at Jiffy Lube on 55th & Broadway, (July 2011) they suggested another service, Coolant Flush. Keep in mind that I've been a LONG time customer of 8+ years(with 3 vehicles)!
After the Coolant Flush, we drove act 1/2 mile, when our coolant light came on. We proceeded back to Jiffy Lube. After they checked all the levels, they referred us over to Bell Automotive, which is owned by the same people and stated that they (Jiffy Lube) would pay the repair bill. Bell Automotive stated that yes, they would bill Jiffy Lube and that the repair would be financially taken care of.
They stated that they contact us in 2 days, once they received the sensors in. Well after our numerous (with response such as: Will call you tomorrow, He's not in, waiting on the part) contact with Bell, they stated today that shop management has changed and they would have the Manager contact us. Well we took the car into another shop and they informed us that there's only one sensor, but the bottle would have to be replaced because the sensor is located in the bottom of the bottle and just the sensor can not be replaced. That shop owner write down the part number price and we took the information over to Bell Automotive.
Bell Automotive stated they would have the Regional Manager contact us. Shortly after we left Bell Automotive we DID in fact receive a call from Mike Keene-Regional Manager.
He stated to us that Jiffy Lube/Bell Automotive would not pay for the repair but we could go purchase the part and they would install it, and not for free I'm sure! Needless to say, after years of doing business with this company, they have LOST all of our business, and others business as well...
