Over-Priced and they damaged the vehicle
Jiffy Lube in Plymouth, MN staffed by a bunch of under-qualified *** Over-sold my daughter on a synthetic oil change and damaged her under-carriage shield in the process. They didn't even have the decency to replace or repair the damage they caused.
Also, the reminder sticker they put in her car said her next oil change was in 3,000.
So whats the advantage of a synthetic oil change??? So you should just go to the dealer for an oil change the price is less and if they rip off your skid plate they are responsible for putting it back on.
So if you don't want to have your vehicle serviced by a bunch of grease monkeys trying to *** a football avoid this place at all costs.....
Low rpm with leakage
Car damages
Went in for a regular routine oil change for my 2016 dodge and ended up in their parking lot for over 4 hours oil was spitting out from everywhere after several verbal alltercations with the so called manger ...Cussed out by so called claimed to be corporate office manger (Stephine) when come to find out was just another manger at a different location....**sighs** which resorted with my car being towed from the facility as it wasnt able be drivin off....mind you not one time did I move my car after they parked it off to the side my car never left their parking lot ...I plan on following up with cooperate office and CEO if possible and file a small claims for damages
THE WORST !
Car oil turned to pudding
Jiffy Lube -Poor service; possible dishonest service personnel
Since I wrote this review, the owner contacted me right away, both by phone and by email. He was very helpful and concerned and offered me full restitution - a refund of the costs, offered to pay for the fixing of the broken air filter housing unit, and to receive a...
The car was taken right away into one of the bays and I was directed to wait inside. (okay so far...) There was no one in the front lobby or at the front desk so I waited at the desk because I wanted to know how much they charged. No one came in for over 5 minutes. (not okay...) When the service guy came through the door, he had 2 dusty air filters and the oil cap from the car in his hand.
He laid them on the counter and said that they would have to put synthetic oil in the car. (not okay...) He showed me the cap that said 0W oil. I told him my daughter specifically said she wanted regular oil. He kept insisting, so I texted my daughter at her workplace and explained the situation.
She texted back and said to tell them to put regular oil in because that was all she had ever used with zero problems with her car. I showed him the screen on my phone with her instructions. He grabbed the phone from my hand (not okay...) and began texting her, then got frustrated when he couldn't spell the word "manufacturer's", and gave me back my phone. He then told me he would have to notate on the invoice that the "customer declines proper oil".
(okay...) I asked him how much it would be for just the regular oil change (no filters), and he said $51.77 + tax! (NOT okay... but too late to say "NO" now - they had already started without my informed consent). Thank goodness I had a coupon!
I still ended up paying an extravagant amount of $44.11. When I returned home, I hadn't noticed that at the bottom of his notes it said "Air firlter housing broken upon arrrival" (His misspellings) (What?? NOT OKAY!) I texted my daughter and asked her if her air filter housing was broken - maybe from one of her past oil changes. She said, "No, it wasn't broken.
They probably did it because they were mad [about the synthetic oil]." Of course, I understand the service guy's concern, but he was in my face, and the way he approached me was unprofessional). The lack of initial communication about the pricing and not even verbalizing anything about the broken air filter when I paid was suspiciously dishonest.
I will never again go to a Jiffy Lube. No wonder there were no cars there at 10:00 am on a Monday morning...
- There were no other customers there
- Whole service experience and price
Preferred solution: Full refund
Jiffy Lube cost me an engine diagnotic
After an oil change at jiffy lube, my engine light came on. Additionally, oil from the filter change was not properly cleaned off and sat in the engine bay bleeding out onto my garage floor.
After cleaning up this mess myself, I purchased an OBD to attempt to determine the cause of the check engine light.
I gave Jiffy Lube the benefit that there employees are well trained experts. I was wrong.
I ended up taking my car to the dealer service center in order to determine the cause once an for all.
The dealer certified service worker informed me that electrical sensors were not all properly connected after the oil change was completed. Another 80 dollars down the drain.
- Poor quality of service
Preferred solution: Full refund

Went in for A basic radiator flush was only going to take 20 minutes. When I was all said and done an hour and 30 minutes later we left.
Said radiator hose was bad. I went looked at the radiator hose myself no split no holes radiator hose was not bad. Then they try to tell me that the gasket on my water pump was bad.
Just change the water pump not too long ago so I know it wasn’t bad. I would definitely stay away from that place there a remove and replace until they find out the problem type of shop mechanic does not know what he’s talking about.

Verified Reviewer | Las Vegas, NevadaNever changed the oil filter fo 3 years!!
After 3 years of required visits to jiffy lube, it turns out the people did not know where the oil filter is on a BMW. It disintegrated and went into the motor.
No oil was getting to the cams or the head at all. On inspection the cams had 1/2 inch of shinny sludge on them and the whole motor as well. The mechanic who was going to fix our car pulled the oil bolt and nothing came out. After pushing a screwdriver in the hole an oil turd came out with metal bits and filter pieces & tar like oil (BMW has no metal housing around the filter).
It clogged all the oil passages, a quote for the repair is $9,000 for a new motor, towing and loss of work. The oil was absolute black, 11 engine flushes did not remove the sludge, the pictures you see are AFTER the engine flushes and the motors is ruiened. After all the flushes we ran the car thinking it was ok, there was so much oil pressure it pushed out gaskets and 5 to 7 oil leaks manifested and because of the oil the serpentine belt slipped off wraping around the crank and was sucked inside the block wraped around the timing chain and causing the chain to jump many gear teeth thus out of time with the crank and ruining the front main seal. We even brought our own BMW recomended oil (every time)$120.00 worth.
We trusted them and it ruiend our car and we paid to have them destroy the motor!!!!! DO NOT TRUST jiffy lube I wouldn't ever even get close to that place.
Do it yourself or get a REAL PROFESSIONAL to do the job. VERY PISSED OFF IN LAS VEGAS

Could have lost my life because of the negligence
So.... the gentleman that called me said that he was sending me a gift card for $150 and a coupon for another oil change....
I have not received it. When I called today... there was.
I record of it. At first I was ok because I thought he was recalling trying.......
I got a call from the corporate office and they sent me a gift card for $150. They also sent me a coupon for a free oil change. None of that can replace a persons life but I at least feel as though they paid attention and tried to make amends to me
If it were not for Corey and Steve Gray I would not even consider going back there. They went over and beyond to calm me down and to make sure everything was fine when I left the 2nd time I could have lost two wheels as well as my life
Jiffy Lube - Oil Change Review
Destroyed Subaru Crosstrek Transmission-Jiffy Lube
I always take my car to a Jiffy Lube in Idaho Falls. Last may I took it in and they recommended me to get my differential changed.
They performed the task on the front differential and told me they couldn't do the rear because they couldn't get to it. A few thousand miles later my car breaks down on the high-way. I take it to a mechanic which said the front differential was bad, containing black burnt fluid, and contained metal shavings. (Front differential in this particular car is one unit with the cvt transmission, so it all has to be replaced.) Also they noted only a pint of fluid came out, and that the actual fill hole for the differential had never even been opened.
(Jiffy Lube marks what they do with marker paint.) When returning to the Jiffy Lube, they said they didn't do the differential. When showed the receipt, they admitted they did it, but also admitted they didn't have the right tool to open the fill hole so they added fluid to the vent hole. I talked with the owner after that, which he also admitted that location didn't have the right tool, but he said he thinks it should have been ok. Then the owner and I agreed to have my car towed to the Subaru dealership to see what they thought since they were the manufacturer.
Subaru was going to warranty my car, until they also noted the actual cvt transmission was also bad, burnt, black, contained metal shavings, and only 1/10th the amount of fluid came out. They also noted marker paint on the transmission. Jiffy Lube had tampered with the cvt transmission- even checking the fluid in this cvt transmission is difficult and not recommended because it is a sealed lifetime cvt transmission. Checking the fluid in it requires a special temperature gauge and shifting gears, etc.
Upon notifying the owner of these findings and contacting corporate several times, I have not received a response from the owner at all.
I was forced to hire an attorney and will be filing a civil suit against them, since the replacement for the transmission/differential unit is 7500$!! (Cant file small claims.)

You were wise-enough to not fall for their scam and thus they didn't make any extra money from you. However, just think of all the other customers they scammed that day who trusted them.
