I took my 2014 Ford Escape in on 7-13 for its third oil change (first at jiffy lube) and after 3 days noticed the skid plate hanging off. The plate was subsequently damaged from ground contact.

Let me also say that I am fanatical about how all my cars are driven and cared for. With this I went back to Jiffy Lube and was told there was nothing they could do today, which is always corporate Americas nice way of saying go eff yourself. With that I ended up at Ford and 300 dollars later now have a new skid plate.

Be aware of this place it is store number 1268 on broad hollow road in farmingdale ny. If you go there and obviously I don't recommend it, make sure your skid plates are put back on CORRECTLY amongst God only knows what else they touch that they don't have a clue how to reinstall.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Jiffy Lube Cons: Being lied to.

Location: Massapequa, New York

Yes because the screws go into plastic clips. If they don't care they put the screws too tight and strip the holes.

If they are worried about stripping the holes they put the screws too loose and they fall out. It is a no win scenario.

After a few oil changes the screws will no longer hold in. This is so that you have to get your car serviced by Ford, that way they will have the plastic clips and other parts on hand to put it back properly...
